Was travelling between Melborne and Sydney when cashew nut shell or hard piece cracked a filling. Long story short. Could not get treatment in the two days between Melbourne and Sydney and did not in the two days after due to not knowing dentists etc and scheduling. Thought i could treat back in NZ nut I have been told no go on NZ based treatment.

I have been through the experience of a claim, it took a while through no fault of 1cover. The problem one is loss of cash, for instance I am carrying USD, Swiss francs and NZD none of which was sourced at a bank or ATM I don't know how that could be improved. I suppose you really take insurance for the big one.

I had a policy that I need to extend for four days to cover my return home as my return home date had changed. I contacted 1Cover and was told the price for four days cover would be $114.00 which worked out to around $28.00 per day. This equated to a 1,150% increase on my original per day cover cost. When I e-mailed back to question the massive difference in cost I was told "there had been a price increase and this was the best they could do". Interesting, when I went onto the website to get a standard quote for 4 days in Asia, assuming I was departing from N.Z, the price was $58.00. Needless to say I shall not be a customer again.

Have had multiple policies over the years with 1Cover Insurance - would not recommend anyone else for travel insurance and will be renewing again at the end of current policy. always advise of current injuries, even though u think they are nothing at the time. for us a sore neck/shoulder/back turned out to be a blown disc and it wasn't diagnosed til way after the purchase of our policy, after phoning to see if it was covered we were advised no as it was preexisting! but also they wouldn't actually decide until after we ACTUALLY cancelled! lesson learnt.

This is way cheaper than my credit card free cover coz the of the excess on the credit whereas with 1 Cover I take out is no excess.

While holidaying in Mexico I had my handbag stolen complete with passport, credit cards, money, phone and bracelet. I rang 1 cover straight away as I was desperate for help. The guy I spoke to said he didn't believe something could be stolen while someone was right there. Where has he been? He offered no help. A bit daunting when you are stuck in a foreign country with no money or passport. Not impressed. Let's see what happens when I put in a claim.

I was travelling to the States and had to find an insurance cover. It was easy to get it done on line. Instructions were clear and you could call someone to help you fill it out and get a clearer picture of what you're paying for. I didn't have to use it but knowing I was cover made me feel safer. I recommend Cover 1 and will use it again.
