As an example, if your return home is delayed due to a claimable event and you would needed to extend your stay, it would be reasonable for you to stay at the same accommodation you were in or one of a similar class/cost.
In the first instance, you should contact the airline to see if any alternate arrangement can be made or any compensation may be offered. Please retain any documentation provided by the airline or receipts for any out of pocket costs which you may incur as a result of the delay or cancellation should you need to submit a claim.
We can provide cover for flight upgrades if, due to a claimable event, you are fit to travel and it is deemed medically necessary by our medical assistance team for you to travel in a different class.
If your journey is cancelled or shortened due to you becoming sick or injured, there is provision to claim for cancellation fees and lost deposits for unused travel and accommodation arrangements that you have paid for in advance and cannot recover in any way from your transport or accommodation provider.
